Lieutenant Louis Maffei graduated high school in 1990. After High school he joined the National Guard as a combat engineer and served in Desert Storm under the 82nd Airborne. In 1994 he transferred to active duty Army. During his time in the Army he had 2 deployments to Iraq and 2 additional deployments to Afghanistan. He retired from the Arm in 2014. After retirement he decided on settling down in the small town of Riddle. At that time he decided to continue his service and joined the volunteer fire department. LT Maffei moved up quickly through the ranks and was promoted to LT in 2018. LT Maffei oversees our cadet program as well as the volunteers he supervises.
