Lieutenant Michael Urban was born in Fort Campbell Kentucky, he was raised in Washington most of his life. He graduated from Hudson Bay high school in Vancouver Washington. After graduating he worked in construction until 2015. In 2016 he moved to Southern Oregon where he fell in love with the area and decided to call it home. In March of 2016 he decided to volunteer for the Riddle Fire District, he then fell in love with firefighting and it became a passion for him. He worked for DFPA as a wildland firefighter, as well as a few other private contractor for wildland firefighting. In 2020 he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, where he supervises volunteers that are assigned to him, as well as manages our SCBA's and gas monitors. He currently works full time for Roseburg Forest Products in their Engineered Wood plant here in Riddle. He enjoys being able to serve his community in his spare time.
